It’s trick or treat time!

Those are the costume’s this year, they are too cute I tell ya.

I went reading around on the history of Halloween today. It’s quite interesting to say the least. I read about things I had long forgotten about, such as:

“One story says that, on that day, the disembodied spirits of all those who had died throughout the preceding year would come back in search of living bodies to possess for the next year. It was believed to be their only hope for the afterlife. The Celts believed all laws of space and time were suspended during this time, allowing the spirit world to intermingle with the living.”

I was always scared of that, as a child, was always freaked out when I “thought” I saw something. LOL

Another part that was interesting was this:

“The custom of trick-or-treating is thought to have originated not with the Irish Celts, but with a ninth-century European custom called souling. On November 2, All Souls Day, early Christians would walk from village to village begging for “soul cakes,” made out of square pieces of bread with currants. The more soul cakes the beggars would receive, the more prayers they would promise to say on behalf of the dead relatives of the donors. At the time, it was believed that the dead remained in limbo for a time after death, and that prayer, even by strangers, could expedite a soul’s passage to heaven.”

To that I say, that my critters shall get bunches and bunches of soul “candy” To help those who have not passed. Then again, Halloween isn’t anything more then getting candy these days. The history of it, is not often thought about. Anyhoo before I reamble more then I want to, I hope everyone has a great Halloween, and people better be sharing costume pics, I will be sharing me as a dead nurse in scrubs. Yeah so cliche and boring, but it’s what I got, and I can make that makeup work for me. :)

The users guide to bad credit.

So you have bad credit? No worries, so do I. It’s hard to make your monthly bills, and there isn’t a way to catch up once you get behind. Well it looks like we have a solution folks. Badcreditoffers.com offers bad credit loans. How hard is it to find a loan with bad credit, I bet you already know the answer. It is hard. I can’t get a loan anywhere at all. The website links you to places where you can find loans for your car, for your home, and even offer to help repair your credit. I particularly was interested in the credit cards Which some seem like a good deal. A few APR’s would choke your pocket, but there seems to be a deal for anyone there. So give it a shot, and see what the website can do for you.

Little house on the farm

I had been waiting a long time to be able to photograph that little house, I am glad I finally got the chance.
Yesterday was the baby shower, it was a lot of fun. I ended up driving more then I wanted to though, which was fine really, I got to experience more big city driving, and it wasn’t all that bad. At one point there were about 8 bikers behind me, and it was so fun. I adore motorcycles, I purr at the sound of them, if they have that classic sound, not the shitty crotch rocket ones. It’s like an eargasm for me. LOL

At the baby shower, I didn’t know but four people out of the gazillion that was there, it was slightly uncomfortable, but it was fun anyways. I made them a blanket for my present to Nova (the baby) My first and last time making a no sew blankie though, I can tell ya that. It took me about 2 hours for just a baby sized blankie.

Othen then that, not much going on today. Still trying to figure out my costume for hallloween, and that’s about it.

Google is on to me

Hahah I was just scrolling down and seen that my google ads said the following:

Meet lonely housewives
Real lonely housewives, search 1000’s of local ads.

How friggin hilarious.

I find humor in the dullest things.

At the moment it’s google ads. hehe.

Drive in’s are special

I remember when I first saw a drive in, I thought it was amazing, such a big screen, and the sounds emerging from all cars and speakers alike. First time I actually went to one was when I was 13. I went with a camp counselor, and other friends of mine. It was awesome. I have to say though, that as many times as I have ever been to a drive in, that I am not the “going to a movie and making out” statistic. I feel deprived. I ought to go to one sometime and get my groove on. I mean it’s the right thing to do, right? I think so too.

The picture is of one that is being redecorated, it is now has bright yellow instead of black booths. I haven’t ever been to it, but I see it all the time on my way to walmart. Sadly, the drive ins are dieing off. From what I hear you can’t find one on the east coast. How sad is that? Every person should be able to enjoy a drive in, and every teenager should get their first kiss there. It’s all a fairytale really especially when you live in the ghetto or some small town.

.. and that’s chica reporting live, promoting interactive relations in public places. :)
