The wind at my back

Today has been quite uneventful, too damn cold to do anything today. The plan was house painting at the MIL’s, but eh it can wait until next weekend, if it gets nicer. I wish I had more content to fill up a proper post today, but I don’t. Jeremy though has a pretty rad video of him and Sal, ya’ll should go check it out. I youtubed myself at youtube, and found the two short videos I did awhile back. Both were cheesy as hell. I look so different. I want my hair back dark, I hate lightish red hair on me, just not good for my skin tone. So in the next couple weeks I will be going back to dark brown for my sanity. I am awful about dyeing my hair too often, but it keeps things interesting I guess.

That’s it for your complete waste of time, thank you very much and leave your toll at the door. :)

You news TV

Locally, they are having a photo contest. I entered. Here is a short excerpt from the article:

“Win the You new TV Contest and you can dress up the walls of one of Idaho’s premier hotels! The Ashley Inn wants to display photographs of natural beauty, preferably of Idaho as well as its surrounding areas through the eyes -er, lens - of you. If your photo is chosen, your photo will be on display for all of The Ashley Inn’s guests to admire and adore upon.”

There is an unlimited amount you can submit, but I have only submitted one this week to be fair. There are winners every week. The winning photo will be displayed on the Friday evening news, which is totally exciting. Even more exciting is the fact it will be in the Inn themselves. So I think it’s pretty rad. I am positive that one of my photos will win, but then again, here is my competition.

Unlike the last contest I entered, this one is not expired. LOL. So Hopefully I have a chance at least one of the weeks. I think I took a chance using the fire sky one, but it was unique compared to the others, so I ran with it. And for those who clicked on the link, you actually get to see parts of my home state. 90% of it, I haven’t even seen before. lol

Anyhoo that’s about it from the homestead. Have a good ‘un. :)

*Just added my sunflower pic to the bunch for good measure, it should be up shortly after approval.

Hiccups from the heart

Mattman claimed he had hiccups from the heart, and they were making big drum sounds. Kids are priceless I tell ya. The way they are so free, unrestricted, pure. In the way they draw their smiley mans with big eyes, a tuft of hair, legs that start at the mouth, and arms that fly out of the ears. No clue for perfection, and it’s a beautiful thing. The way they stick their tongue out, and tense their brow when they are concentrating on so mentioned smiley mans.

They are quick to laughter, and jump for joy at the little things. Everything is a whole hearted laugh, and excitement can be seen dancing on their skin. I can’t remember the last time I started laughing and couldn’t stop, except with my critters. It was just yesterday when mommy made a stinky in the bathroom, and Boo went in afterwards, exclaiming, it’s disgusting in here, with a sour scowl on his face. I couldn’t stop laughing, my belly started aching, and tears came to my eyes. It was one of those priceless moments I will remember always.

It is odd how we are born so “pure”, then become impure and confused, and then in the end become pure. I say that’s an awful long time waiting for what you start out with. If only it was possible to hold onto that and thrive in life. At the end though maybe that’s the ultimate arrival. Maybe, just maybe, that is what makes it worth the while.

Chica VS. The Banker, a white van, and the construction.

I sit down and ask what she needs of me. Hands her what she needs. Then wait forever while she is typing away. Explain to her my address. Had to show her my address because apparently she couldn’t understand mumbled english, herself being an english speaking american. She asks my phone number. Oh god. I drew a blank. Blurted out some numbers, and was like yeah, that’s it. I mentally curse myself to get my phone number written down or call myself more. We’ll see. I sit and wait while she takes my money, and brings me the change. She was out of check paper. Ok. Your a bank, you should have that on ready supply. Not a good sign. She hands me my things and sits and stares at me. I feel uncomfortable as she stares at me with those big blue eyes, and I ask her, Oh are we done. She smiles tightly and says yes. She gave me an empty checkbook, and I leave. She must have thought I was something else, forgetting my phone number, and sitting there trying to understand each others mumbled english. She wins.

Before arriving to the bank, I was driving along minding my own business, when a white van popped out in front of me. I slam on my brakes and curse again. See a routine here? He stopped and sort of stared at me while in the middle of the road. I sit and stare back trying to be patient. He finally after about 30 seconds decides oh, I should back up and let her through. So he does, and the whole time, he has the nerve to stare at me like it was my fault. I think not Sir. The ride away was mine. That nerve.

Construction is a bitch around here these days, you are far better off walking anywhere then riding anywhere. All the roads, the bridges, the overpasses, everything coming up from the ground. IT makes a 5 minute commute to the grocery store about a 20 minute ordeal. Dodging orange cones and impatient drivers a long the way. Going at least 12 blocks out of the way and remembering they made a one way road a two way due to construction. First time I saw someone in a car heading my way on what is a one way, I was like what the f**k, but then I realized everyone was doing it, so it was ok. Funny how they spend all that money doing the construction when really, they only needed to patch a few things and go on about their way. All that trouble better be worth it, I tell ya.

So conclusion.. I am running at 1 W and 2 L today. Not so bad, but could do better I suppose. :)

Scrambled words and Toast please

I have had a few random thoughts floating out and about the past few days, so I decided for my post today, that I would do the 30 minute ramble, so here I go.

I was at the grocery store the other day, finally getting some much needed groceries, and I had an revelation one might say. I looked at all the food I got when I was putting all on my shelves, or organized in the refrigerator, and I thought about all the trash. Not the food being trash, I do try to buy healthy things when I can. The packaging though is what I am referring too. Why is there such a need to package a boxed dinner. In a box, and then everything in their own separate package inside the box. Some ready to make pasta, comes in a paper bag and has seasoning and dry pasta mixed together. Let’s applaud that company because they are saving some trees. The other competitors of pasta, but there stuff in the box, and separate packaging inside. I think it’s a complete and utter waste of money, time, and trees. I could see wrapping meats, or other things that may go bad in the appropriate packaging to prevent that, but I don’t get why the unneccesary is neccesary.

I also seen on my roll of aluminum foil, stating it could be used as placemats for lunch. As in tearing a piece of it Whatever happened to just giving a dirty table a wipe of the hand and setting down to enjoy your lunch? Things these days have to be way to sterile in order to be eaten on. Sure avoid contaminating yourselves, with what is most likely on your kitchen counter as well. Sheesh.

All that being summed up, I have been reading a book titled Toxin by Robin Cook. One of her older ones, that I have had and read a few times over, and it talks about a doctors child being strucken ill with food poisoning that turns into a toxin and she later dies. This happens everywhere, and everyone feels they have to point fingers at everyone else. It sounds to me that food poisoning is about as common as the flu. You just don’t know it, and ironically, it is mostly associated with the stomach flu. Makes you wonder how many times you got lucky and got food poisoning and didn’t even know it. Then again if it didn’t bother you enough or cost you any ridiculous amount of money for medical treatment, then who gives a hoot huh?

I’m back without being gone

Ha didn’t even know I was gone did ya? I am just that good.

Apparently it was not firefox that was the problem. It was the first thing besides my keyboard function that was affected by a trojan virus. It made the computer literally unworkable. I had to do the whole system recovery 10 disc thing, and wait for friggin ever to get this far. I did manage to run windows defender before it crashed, but it didn’t pick up on the trojan. Some of the free virus stuff is crap and will protect you like a rip in a condom. So that’s all out of the way now, and things will get better from here on out with this damn computer. No More trojans allowed!

In other news, I tried to set up a bank account today. Apparently you have to have money to put in the bank when you open it. Whoops! I had went to several banks today trying to work my way into getting an account, but none of them cooperated. So the damn paypal will be postoned for two weeks. Which isn’t so bad, the victim err I mean person I had lined up, just recieved one complimentary. For all the trouble, so I felt fine with that.

Anyhoo I am off to go download everything I need for this computer, and what not. Hope ya’ll been good!
